Atlantic City Mayor Thanks ICNA and Muslims

The Atlantic City mayor, Lorenzo Langford, spoke with a representative of ICNA Relief and ICNA-NJ at one of the relief stations set up to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Langford said, “First of all, let me say on behalf of all the residents of Atlantic City and our employees how grateful we are to the Muslim community in general and specifically to this organization (ICNA Relief) for giving of your time, your energy, your efforts, and your material goods to help this community rebound in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. I am forever appreciative and grateful for the effort.”

The mayor went on to note that in every adversity there is some benefit and in this case he sees the super storm as bringing together diverse groups within the community to accomplish one goal, which is “to bring relief and comfort to all who have been affected by this calamity, regardless of religion, regardless of race, regardless of creed…the whole human family has been brought together by this tragedy and that’s a good thing.
